best gun mod nmod?

My deck gun takes too long to reload. I play FOTRS. What is a powerful, quick reloading deck gun mod?

Get Silent 3ditor (S3D) and then open the mod and go to Data/Library/USSubParts and find the gun you want to change. Open the gunname.sim and open the wpn_Canon and select the child node inside which is also wpn_canon. In the right hand window will be a setting for "Reload Time".

Sorry to hear that Clay, hope everything is ok.
Here's hoping that there is a convoy out there with your name on it.

Take care ol' buddy

Make a copy of the files you want to change. Best to make the change as a MOD.

1. Start S3D
2. Open the Data/Library/USSubParts/Deck_Gun_4_50.sim file
3. It will look like the picture below
4. Top arrow points to the name of the file you just opened
5. Next Arrow points to where you need to select the part you are going to work on. You need to click the + sign next to wpn_cannon to get to it.
6. Then select where the next arrow is "Reload time"
7. A box will open at the bottom of the page to enter a "Value" (time to reload in seconds)
8. Put in whatever value you want and save the .sim file just like you would any other file.

Done

I made the changes you recommended. I will try it out and let you know the result. I changed the setting to 2.5 in the FOTRS mod file. It looks like SD3 is an amazing program, but I will need a tutorial to get my head around it, as I am not too sophisticated in this area.

I stored a copy of the original file on my desk top in case I screwed up.

Your not fooling anyone. You are not the dumbest tack, for a tack you are pretty sharp. You may not be the smartest tack but you fit right in with most of us, right in the middle. We know just enough to screw it up.

I fiddled with the ammo, and that did the trick. Thanks Captain.

Guns don't have to reload quickly. Just load up my Slightly Subnuclear Deck Gun, now with Slightly Subnuclear AA Ammo. Then sink targets with the 20mm! You can't load quicker than that, can you?

I would love to download it, but I was just served with a temporary restraining order for violating the software license

Where did you come up with that cool machine gunner?
