Default FORS Crashing same date same time

Good Evening shipmates, i've been playing SH4 FOTRS 1.8 for the last few weeks with absolutely no issues until today it keeps crashing on 25/7/43 @ 17:00 no matter where i am on the map.

I'm on my 4th war patrol and never had a CTD in this game and i havent added any mods other than FOTRS, any help would be much appreciated as I do love coming back to this game over the years.

Repeatedly crashing at the same date and time could be a bad file in the radio playlist.

I'd suggest checking the files at
Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Sound\Radio\<station>\Events\events.ini
for each radio station you have installed, and look for an event that plays on that time/date.

You can either correct the filename in the entry, comment it out with ";" at the beginning of the line, or delete the entire entry.

would that "bad entry" come into play if the user-player were not listening to the radio on that date/time?

Yes, from my experience.

I'm not sure why, but it's very consistent about crashing like that.

now i see where the difference is:

mr. ninja has a radio station mod installed and that mod has events and one was bad.

an "aha" moment.
