whole crew permanently fatigued: any way out?
hi,
I'm sorry I don't remember whether a few years ago I encountered the same problem, playing RuB145 SH3, so I don't remember how I managed the issue: 1940, in latest couple of campaign missions, after a few days of searching for merchants, having achieved standard objectives, the sub has come to a stop in the middle of a fjord: everyone was exhausted! : nothing changed after more than fifteen hours of complete stop (time compression 8-64x): thence I terminated the patrols I like crew management active in SH3 commander and I wouldn't like to disable it, yet I didn't like to be stuck as well ![]() is there anything I didn't consider? thanks

As I recall it was an RUB thing. You have to plan carefully and rotate the crew, as they don't recover in the Crew Quarters but they don't deteriorate there either. I don't think you can fix it once they're totally fatigued.

Using TC over 32x sort of "suspends" the fatigue modelling too, so it wouldn't have helped to have run at 64x when trying to get the crew to recover. Put the essential crewmen into quarters and run at 16x for a little while until they're out of exhausted state and then start rotating the other crewmen. Don't have them do anything other than normal duties until they're pretty-much ok. If you're using SH3 Commander, you could always select "No Fatigue", though as I never have, I don't know how well that works.

I'll help you justify disabling the fatigue model... IRL the Kpt. wouldnt have to put his men to bed or rotate watches, thats what your junior officers and NCO's are for.
![]() The only time I can justify the fatigue model is during combat.. sleeping through depth charging is kinda rough.. unless your Cpl. Hicks from Aliens. ![]()
