Nice pictures!

One question about the photo of the torpedo: does this one have some kind of twin propeller propulsion (looks somewhat like turboprops? It is the first time i've noticed this.

Default Thanks For Pics

I am sure you had a great time but did the family get as excited as you :-)
I so wish i could have been inside a real u- boat you lucky man. When ever i try to tell my wife about a my battles in the Atlantic she just looks at me as if i am mad and says "Danny its only a game" They just don't seem to understand the pressure and stress and the responsibly we have over our beloved boat and the men under us in those dangerous cold Atlantic waters. Even when i told my Rita about my Knights Cross she did not seem over excited.

I sure had a great time, but do you see the look I my Marie gives me there, lol.
As fore the props on the torpedo, yes they had two counter rotating props to counter the gyro, or torque, effect of a single prop.

Nice pics. Nearest U-boat to me is the one in Liverpool (forget the number), that was recently cut into 3 peices. Must go there so point, as its only a 1hr train ride from my house.

@KL......I know what your thinking/referring to because that is more or less what you said when we got our first glimpse of the USS Texas on our approach in the car.

Yes sure was, it´s much bigger then you think.
If you arrive in Kiel on a ferry the boat and the memorial is clearly visible from the port side of the ferry. As is Moltenort a little later.
The Laboe Ehrenmal is a very special place, gives you some perspective on things.

Thanks Chris, tell her there are some souvenir shops and restaurants close to the museum. And a nice beach promenade, might help
