Well, I just went and blind bought Lothar-Gunther Buchheim's U-Boat War, and just noticed that he has two other photo books, neither of which were translated to English: Zu Tode Gesiegt and Die U-Boot Fahrer. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to fork over at least $40 a book for them, and my German is nonexistant beyond some rusty "U-boat German."
Are these books worth hunting down, or really just for the diehard collector? ![]() |

Dont own them myself, but I'd imagine they'd be worth it. You know, lots of pics to look at.

I recall reading Buchhiems U-Boat War book back in high school. I even used one of the photos as a subject for my art class(will upload it on request). But I was never able to find the other two books, but I would think that any of the books written by Buchheim are worth the read german text or not.
