Oh come on. The Kaguya spacecraft didn't actually go there. This is computer generated imagery. J/K

In all seriousness, this is an incredible view of the moon. I was hoping that the view would be forward, in the direction of orbital motion so we could perhaps get an Earth rising shot. Awesome....thanks for sharing.

It actually does look like CGI. I assume that is due to the lack of any light-scattering medium, though.

Awesome stuff man. It's a barren place out there, isn't it? Subjected to pretty much all the hostilities space can offer; voided of life, almost 240000 miles away (and slowing moving away at about an inch a year), and what I find to be the most amazing is that it was part of the Earth nearly 4 billion years ago.
