American PT boatmen in the Pacific were known to fish with hand grenades.

I think it could be done, but it would probably take a lot of work for something you in your u-boat would only see with external view, which is unrealistic anyway.

...and would anyway only be realistic if you are over the continental platform In the central areas of the oceans, fishes are much more scarce

How about story;
After convoy atack you was atacked by DDs but, before they detect you,one of your torpedo damaged badly whale factory ship. Later of many hours you finally became hole in the water and dds rejoin formation, you try finish your prey. When you rise up periscope you discover a patches on the water fully covered with dead fishes!!!

Dont worry i don`t want start carrier as a book writer

Sounds like fish and chips for dinner . Please no dead fish after DC or dead gulls after AA fire...

But but, why...
In Das Boot, author recalls many of floating fishes after DC... this was only story fiction?This not right to compare this to dead seagulls after AA and i agree that would be cheesy.
But a little textured fish after DC explodes makes it feels right...
This require a new node to DC explosion behaviour, yes?

I'm sure if you made a mod like this a lot of people would use it.

Why don't you try?
