Default Scapa Parking

I was just looking around Scapa Flow in mid-march, 1940, and I can't seem to find the Merchant Cruiser or Illustrious that are supposed to be there (no mods installed). Previously, I've found the Revenge and another Merchant Cruiser parked just outside of the docks. I've seen the Nelson at Loch Ewe move around a bit from savegame to savegame, so I'm wondering how large the possible spawn area for the Illustrious and that Merchie is. When caught at the surface, I attract an endless stream of Swordfish bombers and the odd Hurricane that I didn't in any previous visit, so I'm sure it's there... somewhere.

have you tried getting into those areas, and using the free camera (F12) to look around and see if you can spot them?

Found them. Far, far off to the west. Scapa's a pretty big place!

In addition to actually entering Scapa, it's convienent to lurk awhile off the western entrance. I've intercepted task forces arriving and take a day or two off Scapa enroute to Patroll to see what turns up.
