im back from the stone age..please help

HI Everyone
I just got back online after dropping off the globe since SHII was all fixed and we played sub vs dd all day and night.
Please direct me to the downloads I need and the order to install them so that I can get the most out of SHIII. I am willing to pay for the package but all I know now is that I downloaded the Ubisoft patch and then the game started freezing up.I am mostly interested in ultrareal play with all the plotting and sweating it out in real time but also would like all the mission mods available.
Little things like the neutral ships flying German flags make me crazy...and the sonar man not hearing the ship that fills my scope view or the weapons officer targeting a destroyer while I am entering all the info for the battleship in my view.

1. Install SH3

2. Patch to version 1.4b ( http://www.mofunzone.com/game_patch_..._iii_1_4.shtml )

3. Download and Install SH3 Commander ( http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=95448 )

4. Download and Install GWX3 ( http://hosted.filefront.com/JimbunaGWX2/2334393 ) *** get GWX1.bin through GWX7.bin and the GWX3.exe file save them all to the same folder on your desktop and run the exe file

5. Download and Install "GWX3 CFG For SH3Commander.exe" located here ( http://hosted.filefront.com/JimbunaGWX2/2334393 )

6. Open your main SH3 folder (where SH3 installed to) and locate the "G" Icon for "JSGME" and run it. then select the "optional mods" you want to try out and install them one at a time.

7. Run SH3 using "SH3 Commander" from here on in

vitusthemad; there is no destroyer command for SHIII or SHIV, and apparently, there never will be. There are probably 100 threads bemoaning this.

I just reinstalled SH3-1.4 and last night began with the GWX downloads rather than with SH3 Commanders as stated earlier.

I have installed GRW3.exe and GRW3-1 to 7.bin plus the manual but have not have time to see if they work.

Questions:
- Considering what I have installed so far, should this be enough to run GRW3 with SH3-1.4?

- Jimbuna’s FileFront website list out 7 other downloadable file, I know I will need the "GWX3_CFG_for_SH3Commanders.exe" file when I install SH3Com but do I need to install all the others? (I’m pretty sure I don’t need the torrent.torrent file) I’m sure I do but is there any definitions of what they do?

- Will I have any problems if I install GRW3 before SH3 Commander?


When I finish, I will end up with the following folders in my Program File/SH3 folder:

- VANILLA SilentHunter III
- VANILLA SilentHunter III 1.4b
- VANILLA SilentHunter III 1.4b with GRW 3.0
- VANILLA SilentHunter III 1.4b with GRW 3.0 & SH3Com (3.2?)
- SilentHunter III (this will have my active file)

I’ll probably move all the folders other than the active folder into an external drive. I’m assuming this will work as long as I only have 1 folder named “SilentHunter III” in my Program File\SH3 folder.

No. SH3 Commander is an external tool, and doesn't care what order it's installed in. It controls the game from outside, and works best if you open it first and use it to launch the game.
