Default Probably a good carry gun

Spendy I hear though:

The Boberg feed mechanism differs from traditional feed mechanisms in that it draws the cartridge backward from the magazine (see video). What is not obvious from this view or the video is the rendundancy of the mechanism. The lifting device, consisting of the lifting linkage and the ramp, imparts a kinematically balanced motion to the cartridge as it is lifted. This is important because the cartridge is accelerated rearward and upward at 2000 g's. Any impact on the cartridge by the ramp is absorbed by the resiliency of the ramp. This combination, along with containment of the case flange, is sufficient to feed cartridges; however, a top stop is added to prevent any further upward motion of the cartridge. Even a poorly designed lift mechanism would feed cartridges somewhat reliably when using the top stop alone; however, the Boberg XR9 uses both kinematic balance and the top stop to provide complete and redundant control over the cartridge as it is picked from the magazine, lifted to be in-line with the barrel, and placed into the chamber.

Call me old fashioned, but I never cared for "palmers" = which is about what this is. Once its in production and I can get my hands on one I may change my mind. Time will tell.

I would also like to see it first hand. It looks like a nice weapon.

The Kahr PM9 is still a bit smaller in all the dimensions and that helps with concealment. I am happy with the Kahr, but this looks interesting

Dig it. IMO the M1911 is the best automatic ever made. Makes a pretty decent club as well...

K. You guys got me. I cannot argue this point. The 1911, especially a tricked out 1911 is the <...insert cool expletive here...>. Probably why I still use a Kimber. Only takes one rd from a 1911. My hi-tech jobbie up there probably takes 3 or 4.

BUT! You can't say my hi-tech jobbie wouldn't be a cool alternative to shoot at the range! Some people still target practice for fun and it doesn't have to be an uber killing machine all the time for this sort of thing! Though I must admit, sometimes a really really really big Mag does help in target practice!

I wonder how that mechanism handles soft nosed bullets?
