[Sub Sailor]

I just received my copy of SH3 already patched to 1.4, which came as an complete surprise. I ordered it through Sub Store of course.
I need some help getting started, I have and play SH1, SH2, SH4 with TMO, and now SH3. I am not without experience with Sub Sims, I have most of them.
I am trying to do the Navigation Tutorial and I am unable to figure out where I am suppose to go. I go SSE I get complete for entering the narrow channel-I can not complete the rest of the assignment.
I read where one member, when responding, "why are you wasting your time .......?", please I like to use all of the sims I buy so spare me the ridicule.
Where do I head to complete each step, I have already navigated, changed speeds, use way points, dove the boat and surfaced-but obviously I have failed to reach where ever I am suppose to be. Also, I keep receiving "new message received" Where do they show up?
