Default Cant play dead...

As title says, there's no way to play dead now after a DD DC run...
In stock i did it a couple of times, mostly accidentally.
A DC went off near me causing moderate damage and when the flooding made the boat touch the sea bed, that loud bang could make the DD think that she sunk me.
Now it isnt possible even in 1939...

...I don't think that works in stock either.

Destroyers don't allways know where exactly you are. It may seem so though. They keep DC-ing the same location in multiple passes for lack of a real sonar fix. But since you are very slow (and have limited situational awareness) it seems they have you pinned. It really is in your best interest to move away as quickly as possible. But just as important: quietly aswel. Just 1 or 2 knots is quiet enough (depends on subtype iirc). When they are moving away you can increase you speed a bit, but go back to 1 or 2 knots as they turn. If you turn to right angles of their run you leave the area the quickest, but this may be a different direction every time. And as they start turning towards you again you can turn your rear to them quicker aswel.

However, if they (so multiple DDs) gang up on you it's not so easy. (if it ever was) Since usually one of them is staying slow and listening. Use depth if you have it. If you don't you're in the wrong place to begin with.

Laying on the bottom doesn't work as the ASDIC beams as modeled in game don't "see" land. For example, DD's can also hear you through a peninsula or any other land sticking out of the water.

I see...
And no mod can make some difference?
I know its hard to reprogram the DDs identifying the sea bed and any possible obstacles but isnt it possible?

And your crew can see and hear them the same way. I hate that.
