Default Interesting technical issues

Hey, just got my friend in to DW, but there are a couple of problems.

1) He can run the game fine once he is in a game, but he cant see any of the menu options. He has a Geforce 9600 GSO, I have a 9600 GT and mine runs fine.

2) When I am trying to host a game for us, it says I am unable to host due to an error, and it doesn't give anymore info than that.

Thanks

Damaged installation IMHO. Never heard about something like this. GFX card should be no problem.
As for the hosting, no idea either but then I only played MP twice or so.

Hi,

I've had some probs also with a 9800, check antialiasing down (some parts of menu were invisible...). Try to reduce card's graphics options. For MP, no better than Dr.Sid.

Are you going through a router ? You may have to open some ports.

Yep well I have opened all the necessary ports, and I can connect to people, I just cant host. Ill tell him to reinstall his game though if lowering the graphics doesnt work.

You could also have him try 16bit versus 32bit colors. I have seen that help some graphics issues for me.

I mean on your desktop settings, not the DW settings. IIRC you have to do it to run DW in a window, but I seem to recall it solving some full screen issues as well with some cards.

I had the same graphical problems with my game (using a gtx 260), and turning down the AA solved everything. Big thanks MikiBzh! Unfortunately, I have no experience with MP, so I cannot offer any advice there.
