I'm sorry to ask again.

I'm having a really hard time with a mod I have made for myself.It worked for awhile now it wont..When I try to start a career it does everything ok untill I try to start the mission and then it crashes and I get the SH4 has encounted a problem.I know this is a lot to ask but would someone look at it when they have some time? I will try to upload it to file planet..

You have given zero information. What does your mod do, etc. There are infinite ways you could CTD with a mod.

clay, uploaded files usually need to be zipped first because you cant upload a folder only individual files

you may have missed something in the cfg dates clay, go over your numbers again.

chances are you missed a cfg date listed somewhere.

then again it might just be a mission editor thing, read this and look the mission over:

You're missing an ID or ParentID somewhere...

This comes about from deleting sections of the INI file or leaving things out of the CFG files - maybe you've edited this out.

With the problem window write down the ID number then do a text search through the Stock game files.

You are probably right sir,but I have looked at these files until my eyes get blury...

Edit,here is what it says in the error box..
"AppName:SH4.exe AppVer:1.4.0.0
Mod Name:Ntdll.dll
Mod Ver 5.1.2600.2180 OffSet:00011e58"

So what do I search for?

Edit#2 I did a search fot the file ntdll.dll and it is a Windows System/32 file????

Hello Buddy, hope you are well !!!

I downloaded the files above and found a couple errors.

You didn't include a NSS_Gato.sim file so I am assuming you forgot to change it. In the "wpn_subtorpedosys" you need to go to rooms-fore and make "Storage[16] (Right click on storage and add array item until it says 16. Then go to the Aft and make "Storage[10]"

The other error which is probably giving you the error box is in the Crewmembers.upc under [crewmember 20]

Look for this:

WatchmanCoef= 0.55Medals=

It should look like this:

WatchmanCoef= 0.55
Medals=

Medals= is on the wrong line and the game gives an error.

I put it into a mod and uploaded it, if you need it.

you should download 7zip if you dont already have it.

its free and you can zip files, and your whole mod when you want to post it to be checked or when your ready to release your mod you will need to zip it to do it.

get 7zip here: http://www.7zip.com/

Just 2 files,buddy. Just didn't put the torpedos in storage in the .sim file and the one with medals in the wrong place. Like you say, you looked at it over and over, it's usually harder to find the mistake than it is to fix it.

really easy, open winzip and tell it to create new archive

it will ask you to name it, this will be the name of the zip file (but its easy to just right click it and rename it anytime you want)

it will ask you where you want to put this file, as default it puts it in your my documents folder so i let it do that

the next window asks if you want to zip a file or a folder, whatever you pick you wont see the other type when you select the location so it may look funny but nothings missing its only showing you the types you selected.

if its a mod your zipping select folders and then highlight the main mod folder then click ok, thats it in 2 seconds your mods zipped, open my documents and there it is. untill you do it a few times unzip it to see it was done right (maybe you forgot to include the read me or whatever). when i first did it i mixed up the name to call the file with the name of the file to zip and had to edit the name lol.
