Midway report

I finally made it to Midway on 4 June 1942.

Initial misson. Report: no enemy sighted.
Ran the mission again. Report: no enemy sighted.
Ran the mission again. Report: SS Gar sunk while surfaced by a warship attacking from long range.
Ran the mission again. Report: SS Gar sunk while surfaced by a warship attacking from long range.
Ran the mission again. Report: 6 shots fired at a battleship. All shots missed.
Ran the mission again. Report: 10 shots at the same battleship. 2 hits. Battleship damaged.
Ran the mission again. Refueled at Midway and when departing for the patrol area my SS Gar ran aground on a beach. As it was backing away from the shore it became stuck on rocks and sank.
Ran the mission again. Report: SS GAR sunk while surfaced by a warship attacking from long range.
Ran the mission again. Report: Tried to find the same battleship that my boat preiously had hit with two torpedoes, and failed to locate it. Fired 10 shots at a carrier. One hit. Carrier damaged.
Ran the mission again. Boat attacked by enemy planes damaging it and injuring 80 percent of the crew. Repairs effected, and boat was in position to intercept on June 4th. Awaited IJN fleet for several hours. Computer crashed without warning with a blue screen error. Mission was not saved. Downloaded a driver for the monitor to prevent future system crashes per the recommendation of Microsoft operationg system notice.

It is about time I went to Midway with a boat armed with nuclear tipped torpedoes. I have been getting my ass kicked. #@!%^!!!

Not often enough. I was, to the demise of my crew, trying to figure out how far away the enemy would begin firing. Pretty far I discovered. If anyone has some safe distance recommendations I will be thrilled to receive them.
