Default Decoys (Bold/Sieglinde)

Hi all, my first thread.

I'm sure you're all familiar with the decoys in game (BOLD/Pillenwerfer) and their effectiveness one way or another. I read recently of another decoy called "Sieglinde" which seems to have been a combination of BOLD and an electric motor. It would be launched and cruise along at about 6 knots making plenty of noise while also changing depth getting the attention of the escorts, allowing the sub to escape.

I was wondering what possiblity there was of this being put into the game at all? or is it something to hope for in a future Silent Hunter?

Probably more a case of something to hope for in the future I should imagine.

Certainly would! I imagine they'd be expensive to aqquire but if you're in a nasty situation being hunted and depth charged it would be well worth the price if it allowed you to slip away while the enemy depth charge a decoy to bits.

I've only had the BOLDS in my last two patrols, but they've already saved my butt! I usually play early war careers, but I'm trying to take my present one as far as I can. December of '42 and already it's a whole new ballgame.

The moving decoys would be a nice touch, but we'll make do with what we got.

As far as i know from the forum's modders, its difficult if not impossible to do...
Designing the object, importing it, setting knots for itself, setting the DDs to react on it... Correct me if im wrong but it seems like the "mine laying" and the "AI torpedo" issue. Many have tried, none till today had any luck with it...

I guess we'll just have to badger ubisoft about putting them into a future game!
