Hey, guys, I have a new website for submarine fans who might also happen to be interested in science fiction and fantasy. Could you give it a look if you have any free time? I would appreciate any suggestions or opinions you may have about the site.
I'm still working on the links but I definitely will include them to this site once I receive Neil's permission, of course. Even though I'm a professional writer I always value feedback from everyone. If you like it feel free to either bookmark it or drop me a lne via the email application, only if you are so inclined. Thank, and keep your periscope feathers low! http://kennethmarkhoover.com

I like it!
I gave up on SF years ago, and mainly stick to history and biography these days; but now I'm going to have to find a copy and read it. Right after I finally read Kingmaker! :rotfl: (Not laughing at you, or Brag - just at myself for all the things I keep promising to do)

I'd have to know a bit more about the types of stories you tell. As a rule, I'm not a big SF/fantasy fan, but I'm always open to new experiences in literature.
If you need hits, I will visit your page 100 times, or until I get bored. Just let me know.

I write mostly hard SF and dark fantasy. My new story "Haxan" is a dark fantasy Western soon to be published by Beneath Ceaseless Skies and I'm working to make it into an ongoing series. I'll provide a link when that goes live on March 26, I don't want to clog up the forum with stuff.

I always enjoy a good science fiction read. Some of the indie or unpublished stuff is better than what the so-called professional authors write

I agree. All too often many writers get stuck in a rut and are no longer willing to take thematic risks with their fiction. You even see it from SF writers who should know better. Given that SF is by it's very nature a genre of ideas they should know better. Heck, I even know some of them personally.
All this is starting to manifest itself a bit in the closing of several Old Guard print SF/F magazines. I think in the long run this will be good for the industry, however. Magazines will have to modernize. I don't see as how that can be bad for either the publishing industry or writers in general...and it's nothing but a boon for readers who love the genre. ![]()

SF writing has it place because sometimes the writer comes up with ideas in the stories that become a reality down the road. Foresight perhaps? Not sure. Take for instance, the SF thriller "The Terminator", just yesterday in the news reports were made about robots possibly revolting in the future. One mans science fantasy becomes another mans reality. Nice site Iron
