Default FRAPS, GWX and Hi Res fix CTD's

I have GWX installed and I have just added the d3d9.dll his res fix and FRAPS screen capture utility. But for some reason when I try to capture a screenie I get sent to the desktop with XP's famous "send a report" message.

Is there a fix for this? Or is there another screen capture utility that works other than FRAPS?

Try YankeeClipper3, a free clipboard extender.
Screenshots get added simply by using the printscreen-key.

It can keep a history of pretty much everything you can copy...even after rebooting.

Strange, it worked well enough before I had GWX, worked okay with stock and the NYGM & GW mods.

Screenshots were okay - not sure about video though, I'm not into that sort of thing with SH3.

use Ctrl+F11 for screens.

Ctl-F11 still takes screens in 1024x768 though. In higher res it takes a cutout from the center.
The dll fix has an inbuilt screenshot function however. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned it. Just press printscreen, and it will create a tga screenshot, no need for external software.

the only thing to watch for with the .TGA screenshots is their size. Had a shock when I foudn a hundred or so 7.5MB files sitting in the screenshot directory.

Convert them to .JPG when you finish and ditch the .TGA's or you will eat your hard drive in short order.

I have YC3 boot with Windows, so it's always in my system-tray.
L-click on it once, to bring up the window.
On the left, select the "all formats" option...this will show all your copy (text, pictures, urls) in the History-section.

To edit your screenshot, select the bmp, and hit Ctrl+L.
This will load it into your preferred image-viewer - like Irfan View.

I run SH3/GWX at 1024x768, though...might be the difference.
I particularly like YC3's "shoot"-option...great for pasting text and urls in a row.

FRAPS video and the hig res fix wont work, because FRAPS takes the resolution info from the game as it starts, but at the same time the fix changes the resolution and FRAPS doesnt register it. So, when you try to capture video, FRAPS thinks it´s 1024 x 768, but instead it´s something else, so FRAPS goes cuckoo and get´s sent to mental hospital.
