Mission objectives

I am new to SH4 but have played SH3 for quite a while.

A quick question. I have started a new career and have been ordered to patrol the Celebes Sea. In SH3 you have to patrol an area for 24 hours and then the mission is accomplished, but I have been in the Celebes Sea for well over 24 hours and it still says on my message pad that the mission is incomplete. Is it a different time span for patrol in SH4 or is this a bug?

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Sometimes you have to stay for 96h. I've never played stock SH IV so I don't know what the briefings are like but with Run Silent Run Deep Campaign you usually get a message where you have to go and how long you have to stay there.

Stay within about 80NM miles of the "star". Your stay time will be more than 24 hours and the good thing about SH4 is that when your time is up the Star will dim and you will get a message.

You have to stay there for 48 hours.

Welcome to the boards. There is a wealth of knowledge here, and the community is rather helpful. That being said, use the search button, and find out what others have responded to questions similar to yours int he pasts. Chances are your answers can be found without starting a new thread. If can't find those answers, feel free to start a new thread, even if those answers have been written before, someone will surely write them again.
