Default Deck Gun problemo

Hello fellow sea skippers and kaleuns, first time poster to this thread but originally bought the game years ago and lost the copy so i d/l a new one the other week to play again, something after watching Das Boot gave me the itch to go out, dive deep, and sink some ships to the fishes. Anyway, i browsed around the forum and saw that their was a mod called GW3 that made the game incredibly more awesome and since im from a battlefield 1942 forgotten hope background I realise sum mods are totally worth downloading. But ive encountered a few problems in the game, most likely noob problems but since i dont have the manuel i cant really do much. When i man the deck gun it states the ammunition is at zero, when i check the ammunition manager it does say i have like 200 rounds or w\e of 88mm shells onboard but how do i get them to the deck gun? another thing, i always get these new report alerts but i have no idea how to check them. annnnddd dats aboot it.

Good hunting

Most radio messages don't actually do anything. It's for immersion.

As for the deck gun, just click the shell, and it should load. Put men on it first though

Oh, and Welcome!

GWX removes some of the deckgun rounds, so all you have are HE? (Or maybe AP) shells. When you man the deckgun, you need to manually select the remaining shell type.

Not sure about your second question.

Welcome aboard Kaleun battlepancho

Are you referring to accessing your radio messages?

If you're referring to the messages, the 'M' key takes you to the message board.

The game manual is pretty much useless anyway. GWX comes with its own manual in PDF form, and it lets you look up almost anything you want to know.

As for the deck gun, you simply have to go to the gun position the first time and click on the shells (HE only). After that it will load them automatically for you.
