Default OLC newbie

Hi guys,

Ive been playing with GWX3.0 Gold with OLC gold installed.
Im sure this has been asked before but I cant seem to locate my awnser via a search. Are there any detailed instructions for OLC Gold ? So far Ive been able to
find a tutorial for the "wizz wheel" and have that worked out. Im mainly interested
in how the marks on the UZO and Stopwatch come in to play. If anybody knows
of any info I can look at , it would be appreciated. Bear in mind this is the first time
ive tried an OLC Gui mod so everything about it is new to me. Even some links to
old posts would be usefull.

Thanks

Stew

For those who are intersted I ended up finding some information in
the form of Quick guides at this site

http://hosted.filefront.com/UberTorpedo

Im still unsure of what the colored lines on the stopwatch mean.
Im still looking for that awnser if anybody could explain.

Thanks

Stew

The lines on the stopwatch are easy:

There should be a line for a ship length of 100m, 150m & 200m. It is written at the beginning (clockwise) of the line.

Just pick the line wich is nearest to the length of your target, when you're stopping the time, wich your target needs to cross the line in your periscope.

Then you should be able to read a first estimation of your targets speed on this line. Of course you have to identify your target first, to get it's length.

This isn't very accurate, I suggest you use the way with the AOB finder to get the real speed of your target.

I got a question too: What is the difference between the OLC GUI and the OLC Ubermod (OLC Gold)? I've looked in the threads, but i can't get more information than "OLC was here..."

Thanks, it all makes sence now.
I thought it might have had something to do with torpedo distance / time but
couldnt figure out why the values decreased further along the scale.

As far as the dif between the two mods Im sorry I cant help you there.
Unfortunally there is no instructions with OLC Gold. I spose he didnt consider
people using that version as a first time olc user.
Im guessing that its an update of the previous version including minor fixes
to make it compatible for GWX3.0 gold and the latest veersion of SH3 commander.

If you haven't already, download all of OLC's videos from the link under my sig. It will make a lot more sense when you see his calculations done in "real-time".

cheers

Yes thankyou ,

I believe I got most of my documentation from your filefront page
but Ive been unable to DL the vids yet. Will have to wait for the end of the month , short on DL bytes.
