save and abandon career

I play SH3 v1.4 (no mods) careers mode. In the middle of my patrol and after I sunk a few ships I choose “save and exit� (clear area) I save my career and exit. When I came back load my save, load normal, but when the mission (saved patrol) starts after a few seconds (3’’) the game stops and display screen left upper “Missions result U-boat abandoning mission� and right down “Abandon career� (like when you die in action). I try another new career, save my patrol and choose “exit patrol� and “return to base� and exit form here, came back to load my save my patrol and the same thing “Abandon career�

What is wrong?
How can I save in the middle of my patrols?
There is a solution to load my saves?

thanks for your reply.

Those threads specifically mention disappearing savegames where I can still see mine....

I did try to create a second profile, but no luck unfortuneately.

Do you have another suggestion??

Welcome aboard guys

It is highly likely this is due to a mod or a faulty install.

Take all the mods out and if the problem persists simply reinstall.

Probably quickest and easiest solution.
