Looks like you may have gotten a bad file when you downloaded the mod.Download the mod again and then try to install and see if you get the same error message.

Like Gumpy said, do a fresh install. (delete sh3 file after you uninstall though, still has the old GWX files in it.) Then re download Gwx, install it, and hope everything goes as planned.

If the hash was ok then file should be too
I used to get this on my other comp archives etc would pass hashes and be free of errors but still fail on extraction sometimes and install too Never found the cause Probably something hardware related You could try asking in this forum JC http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=235 If you do decide to remove SH3 next time you install make a copy of the data folder That way you can just drop it in you SilentHunterIII folder instead of reinstalling all the time |

If all else fails you could get some local kind person to do a fresh install on their machine and copy it to a DVD for you. Nice to hear you again JC.

Thanks for the help huys..
But here, is some stuff needed to say , I have posted on my first post of this thread that I have made a fresh install of SHIII and ptached it correctly and tested it without no issues.. the problem here its not the instal, I have worked and instaled this game so many times that I can do it with closed eyes and most problably without hands 2....:rotfl: The problem is the files I have download that during the download got corrupted.... I just have a invisible problem with my PC that I can not fix cause simply don't know were to look for it, for some reazon the large downloads I make and I meen downloads over 50 Mbs get corrupted and its impossible to fix this if I don't know were to look for the problem... In a file I was downloading, not SHIII related I had a warning info that cause the DMZ of my modem being habilitated I could have large downloads corrupted but when looked into my Modems page configuration I found that in fact DMZ was disabled...So I have no road to follow at the moment... ![]() |
