Default Scapa Flow and me

Why is it, that whenever I go there, no matter the year or the month or the fricking day, it's raining and overall piss poor weather?

I'm currently sitting on the mouth of the east entrance in the middle of the night, afraid to proceed because juuuust faintly I can see a blockade ship just ahead. And no way I'm going back either, so what you think I should do? Wait submerged and hope for the weather to get better for me to ACTUALLY ******* SEE SOMETHING AT NIGHT or proceed now, hoping I can see the blockade ships in time to be able to navigate around them?

Let me put it this way: I'm pretty sure my watch officer is making faces at me, I'd shoot him, but I cant proof it as I cant see him in this darkness.

Throw him overboard.

Seriously, if you can't see anything go to periscope depth and move on.

Well, I waited for the first light to see the blockade ships. Good I didnt move in during the night, there's to B-ships and the gap between them is quite small.

Right, now to see what prize I have waiting in the harbor.

When i started a new caraer in Set. 39 my first war patrol its to raid Scapa Flow...but with a small diference i all aways use the West entrance...not the East entrance, to came in and to came out the base.

Sounds like perfect Scottish weather to me. There's one for realism.

Psst Dowly I figured out what's causing all your problems...

Your used to flying above the clouds, then diving on them whenever they least expect it, so in order to rectify this situation, I'd suggest this:

and if that's a bit over the top there's this one.

Cheers,

You could hang around outside until a good day comes.

Or you could accept that Scotland has the worst weather EVER.

Coming from Scotland i can safely say thats what the weather is like most of the Time (Yes even in the Summer!) especially as far north as Scapa!

I currently live in England, and the amount of people i meet that say "Yes i went to Scotland BUT IT WAS RAINING!" is phenominal. My Reply every time is "OF COURSE IT WAS! IT'S SCOTLAND!! What did you expect the Bahamas!".
