I'm looking for a mod that will increase the mk18 to a bit higher running ranges like 8000 or 10000.
I have the editor but that thing is WAY to confusing for me I played around with it I just cant find the values. Another mod I was looking for was a no bubbles for the mk14. Eversince 1.4 came out the enemy can spot my torps much to easlily in my opinion especialy at night. I'v searched the forums and cant find either not without getting unrealistic damage mods and its bad enough I have to look for these Thanks in advance!

My Slightly Subnuclear Mark 14 does nothing with the bubbles or range, only the boom, which it changes into a BOOM. I haven't had any unrealistic problems with torp wakes being spotted. Whenever it happens, it seems appropriate. I can watch targets avoid a John P Cromwell attack during the daytime and get tagged at night. I've never had one avoid at night or during a storm.
It occurs to me that your problem is in your question, wanting to extend the range of the Mark 18. You are shooting from too far away. If you're shooting from 800 yards, your torpedo's wake could be fluorescent red and you'd still get a hit. Long range shots are low probability shots, even if the target does not avoid at all. Get in close! Extra points for shots inside 500 yards.:rotfl:

Yes, I suppose your right about getting in close. I do take most of my shots within the range of a few hundered to a thousand yards. The stock ranges on the mk18 are not so bad but if somone here knows how (lol) could they possibly make a mod that would increase the range? say double?
Keltos, I looked into your torpedos very nice work sir ![]() but....I just dont want to use IJN torps ![]() And yes even at night, not during storms. They evade them with the greatest of ease. Plus like Keltos said I too like taking the farther shots as well (just with no bubbles!! ![]() Thanks fellas!
