Return to base or snap to patrol area mod

As all of you know, in silent hunter 4 the return to base option with the ESC key is gone. I want to put the option back in. If there isn't a mod for it allready How do I modify it to do that? Is it even possiable to modify the game in that way? Also is there a way to modify the files so you can snap to your patrol area like in silent hunter 1. I know it cuts down on the realism but I allways found it more enjoyable that way. I tried the trigger maru mod and it has some cool stuff in it, but it still dosen't fix these questions. Anyway if any of you guys can help that would be cool.
