"Base changed to Wilhelmshaven"

It's late 1940 and I recently got a patrol with a NULL grid and orders to rebase on the French coast. That all went fine, but now whenever I load the game, before I hit the 'office' screen, I get a message saying "Base changed to Wilhelmshaven" which was my previous base.
I don't actually change bases - I'm still at Lorient, but it says it every time, after every patrol and I'm worried that something my be broken.

There are a few flotillas that have contradictory home base dates. Unless you are bombarded by BDu messages saying "Base changed to Lorient" and "Base changed to Wilhelmshaven" over and over again, it won't affect your game.

If so, you want to change the dates in this file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\silent hunter 3\data\Cfg/flotilla

What flotilla are you?

I was 2nd flotilla I think.
In the end I transferred to 7/13th which automatically rebased me to St. Nazaire. That stopped the messages - I just hope I can transfer back again after a few patrols.

Change back after either 3 completed patrols or 6 months and you should be fine.
