Default Shocking stupidity

I just read that a US Congressman bragged to the US papers during the war that "the Japanese don't sink very many of our submarines because they set their depth charges too shallow"...and the papers actually printed what the idiot said.

Result= 10 subs and 800 men lost. He should have been charged with treason!

I also didn't know that the Japanese had MAD gear. Not looking forward to 1944!

The japanese are pipsqueaks compared to the British and Americans. No ASDIC, barely any radar, not enough destroyers... The war will only get easier for you.

Yeah, the Congressman was an idiot, but don't forget the commanders who refused to acknowledge your torpedo troubles. Or the commanders who forced you to be fleet boats. Hell, how about the commanders that lost every battle before 1942?

Well, I guess we know his voting record...

According to this, though, they did have a version of ASDIC that was based on early British designs.

There are, however, no elite Black Swan Class sloops to deal with here, or HK groups with Casablanca class CVE's

yes, idiots are always around lol.

the paper and reporter should also share the jackazz award because they printed it.

remember the gulf war when heraldo revera reported the exact gps coordinates of his location along with the unit number he was traveling with?

and how bout that reporter who asked stormin normin shwartzcoff (im sure thats spelled wrong) in the press conference what was the exact time and location he would start the ground offensive at, then after being ignored asked why the general wouldnt answer the question?
