G'day there.
Just thought I might first of all say hi. I love what you've all been doing to make this great game even better. I'm currently downloading the S-boot, which looks bloody fun! Now, down to business. I just recently downloaded and installed the Titanic ship for SH3. Not sure who the author was....The link is here: http://fs06n1.sendspace.com/download...tanicArmed.zip This model is great and perfectly accurate, but there's one minor problem... The titanic sank in 1912. And the current skin the ship is operating in is the paint job it had way back in 1912. 30 years from where it is in the Atlantic war: http://www.juniorgeneral.org/donated/mikeb/titanic.png But there's light at the end of the tunnel... The Titanic's sister ship, the Olympic, served in World war 1 and 2 as a troop and cargo transport. She ammed and sank two Uboats, and had the nickname "Old Reliable" by the thousands of men she shipped across the Atlantic and the Med. The Olympic had a rather colourful dazzle camo pattern in World War Two, as shown below: http://www.juniorgeneral.org/donated/mikeb/olympic.png Those two images are Mostly-Accurate pictures made by me in MS Paint. I was wondering if anyone would like to help me make the Olympic skin to fit the Titanic. This way, we could have an accurately portrayed sister ship of the Titanic, instead of the 1912 liner which sank...GhostShip! Another interesting thing: The Titanic's thrid sister ship, the Britannic, was a liner-converted-redcross ship, which served in World War One. Unfortunatly, she hit a mine and sank somewhere off Greece. http://www.juniorgeneral.org/donated.../britannic.png Maybe we could also make a skin for this ship too. If anyone would like to help, please post, as I have limited to no skill in PhotoShop! Regards, Mike. |
