Well seeing how parents try and get there kids into selective schools here in Australia, I'm not suprised that Australia has slipped down the rankings!

Well British kids will always have the advantage that pretty much everyone else in the world has to learn to speak their native language. British kids can, within possibilities, choose the languages they want to learn pretty freely.
