mission too difficult?

I tried to play a war mission and got a message saying, no mission, mission too difficult, or something like it. What does that mean?

It means your running a mod, SCAF I think. It replaces the rather pedestrian "Please wait............" with "No mission, too difficult"

It took a long time for someone to respond, but you did. That reason sounds as good as any. And I am running SCAF! Thank you for a short, concise, focued and apparently accurate (pun on SCAF intended!) reply. I can enjoy my Turkey in peace now!!

Disable the MOD so you can make changes. In the Data\Menu folder of the MOD you will find a file named menu.txt. Open this file with notepad and scroll down to line 5850. Change this line to anything you want. save the file and enable the MOD. Whatever you typed will appear in the box next time you start the game.
