Default [req] Gwx 3.0 Fix

Come guys can you please tone down 2008 asw and lazer guided dc for at least 39 to early 1940.

And I watched a modern tanker U-turn inside my turn in a VIIB at flank speed at 700 mtrs. These ships are turning and accelerating like Elcoes.

Btw I have a swimming pool deeper than the NORDSEE. :p :rotfl:

Just dropped backin to report a BlackSwan and some little piece of crap are chaseing me halfway up the Nordsee. 11-39 They have left the convoy unprotected .

I'm out of torps or I'd givem what's fore. Then go back after that unprotected convoy.

I've never witnessed that anomaly myself. However, the visual representation is not what logs expended ammunition. If they still have DC's, they will keep dropping them wherever they think you are until they run out... or until they are sure they've lost you.

Even early in the war, when the BDU reports tonnage, it lists lost subs. They did not just commit suicide; somehow, they were attacked and sunk. I suspect it was destroyers .

Early war is starting to bore me at times, it's almost like a shoot off. I don't mean to sound rude but if your getting constantly detected and sunk in early war, your doing something wrong. In other words the game will punish the player for mistakes, as it should.
As far as the DD/Ship turns and speed goes, ok yeah I believe this is not modled correctly but nothing can be done about it, something to do with the games AI? Deal with it.
If a game gets to a point of knowing I can win everytime I play, then the fun is gone imo. So the other day I left the A/T and snuck a viib into the pond, `42. Before I even got to Samalis I crossed paths with a task force. Cool I thought, before I get blasted lemme see if I can drop a BB. Well, I dropped two BB's, a Cruiser and a DD. Got away even, without crash diving.
So where the frack are these 'uber' DD's I've read so much about? Damn myth if you ask me.
I realy doesn't matter if other players agree with that or not. My point is it does a player no good to stay pissed off at a game if they still want to play it with the mods they installed. You can either try something else like a different sub, or learn tactics - ways to play so you can beat the AI.
I've been thinking about a new challenge myself, trying to survive in one of those butt-ugly type IX sonar magnets.

As in real life escort accuracy early in the war is not that good and with a little bit of practice you will be able to attack them with virtual impunity. Nevertheless (again as in reality) ocasionally you will get cornered and you might die even in 1939. That's the interesting part of the game. The moment you hear the ping ping sound you fight for your life no matter what year you're playing at

Let's try this again. It's 11-39 A convoy is traveling south off the Brit East coast.

It has two Swans and some kinda scow as Escorts.

I'm going O degrees to target at 2kts silent running a peri depth and 20 mtrs beneath the keel. Deep water is 50 km away E. at best. This convoy is running 35 kms off shore in shallow water. :hmm:

Fire off all torps from my Trusty,Rusty VIIB then promply turn E at flank speed.

After a safe distance go to SR again.

As I posted earlier, I have a swimming pool deeper than the NoordSee :p :rotfl:

Not a very good idea. Even in '39, DD can hear you from about 6 km at flank speed. Go silent and deep. (well, in this case, just silent )

Pardon me for saying so.
But I don't remember asking for requests or suggestions.

I know everyone means well.
But!
Remember a few points.

We will not tone things down.
We will make it harder in some Theaters.
Not all the mods out there meet the GW standard.
(Anything useing SH4 files is a no go!)

GWX 3 MUST meet the same standards for Computer Specs
as all past versions have.

I have been asked about forgoing this one aspect.
'Let's think about useing SH4 files.'
Again, I will not do that!

We have not done so to this day,
and will not do so for GWX 3!

We have an unspoken Trust with UBI.
We, The Grey Wolves, will maintain that Trust.
UBI may not care.
But I do!
