Default British Nation Party members are running for cover!

Expect some fallout over this!

Right-wing extremists across Britain are bracing for violent repercussions after the British National Party's entire membership list was leaked on the internet.
And tech-savvy web users plotted members' addresses in red on a Google Map.
Here is my top quote!

Quote:
Ironically, the BNP is relying on Britain's Human Rights Act, which it opposes, to protect the privacy of its members.

Would this be the same as someone in the US posting the names and addy's of the KKK?

Yes and no.

The BNP has it's routes in several English Nazi organizations. They have toned
down a lot of their rhetoric to be more politically competitive. Party members are
ordered to avoid "any racist or anti-semitic language in public". Despite that their
leader is on record denying the holocaust in part more than once. And the party
has run campaigns such as "Defend Rights for Whites" and claims that
non-whites are "less-British". In recent years the party's anti-sematism has been
replaced by an anti-islam stance.

The economic policies of the BNP are mostly left wing as opposed to their social
policies.

They have had political success and now hold several seats on councils.

The KKK would most likely see the BNP as too moderate as a result of it's political
compromises and far too left win in it's economic policies.

Although I do not really support the BNP, I think it is an outrage that people should lose jobs because of mambership, such as police and the armed forces(in the case of party activists). This policy makes a mockery of claims to democratic government in Britain. Of course it is possible that if the BNP were ever elected, democracy would not be too high on their agenda, but as a supposedly democratic country, there should not really be bans on membership of parties or organisations unless they are a threat to the state. Myself, I'm a monarchist but the inconsistency of this stance by the government makes me laugh.

Currently you can not discriminate against anyone because of the mark they put
on their ballot paper, but you can discriminate against someone because of their
views on anything from the wallpaper they chose to the political party they
support as long as it is relevant to the job they are in/are applying for.

BNP membership is very relevant for any employer wishing to avoid tainting their
public relations, especially their relations with those the BNP discriminates
against.

I would sack any employee who showed he/she thought some of my clients where
"less British" or thought my clients with partners of different ethnicity where
"immoral". It simply would not be good business to hire such people; it's
not the attitude most employers want to see because it's not the attitude that
most clients want to see.

The same applies equally for every party.

Also there are names and address of people who are not BNP members but who attended a meeting to see what it was all about and signed on to the mailing list....

People have been getting threatening phone calls which though I don't like the BNP when kids are being threatened, that is wrong.

Yup.
I don't have much sympathy, but it would have been better if the list wasn't leaked.
Boo to threats, attacks etc. Not the way to fight a cause.
