Cavitation?

Evening all,

I'm suprised at how immediate the stealth meter can immediately turn an ugly red when moving from ahead one-third to standard when close to a warship. Is cavitation modelled in the stock SH3?

I'm making much more use of the back selections nowadays (particularly to back into a perpendicular course after interception of approaching ships). I don't see the same stealth effects moving directly from ahead one-third to back one-third in these instances.

Are there any mods which add cavitation?
