It's embarrasing, the things I've forgotten

S-I-G-H. This is very embarrasing...I've completed my first patrol in Flotilla 2, which was SUPPOSED to be a 5 day shakedown...but it took 7 days to reach BF16 and return to Wilhelmshaven. I've returned to port but every time I start SH3 through SH3Cmdr and load my "Career, in port before next patrol" (or whatever it says), I'm still at August 8th...the day I returned from patrol #1.

I know this is some simple thing I've forgotten over the years, and I did check the manual,but...how do I start my second patrol? I was expecting the date to be August 28 (I arrived from patrol #1 on August 8 and have SH3Cmdr set to "20 days" in port) after selecting "in port, before next patrol" (or whatever it really says) I'm still at August 8th and clicking on the "mission" area gives me patrol #1 info...not patrol #2?

What the heck have I forgotten how to do?

When I load "in port before next patrol" I am still at 08/08/39 and my patrol description is still that of my 1st patrol (5 day shakedown to BF16)

Try going through the full game loading - for some reason the date that's displayed in the Kaleuns room stays as your last docking date and the extra days you spend in port are applied once you load up the game.

The mission orders are date reliant so if you're in the bracket of dates for patrol #1 you'll still get the old orders as you haven't yet kicked it into the next mission orders bracket. Aug 28 is still in the patrol #1 bracket.

Load her up and check the date from the bottom right of the screen. I'll bet you a smilie that it is Aug 28 rather than Aug 8.

Did you get the return to base radio message on the fourth day of your patrol....and if your using SH3 Commander ensure days in port are set to 20.
