Default Tarjak's visit to San Francisco

On my way back from the Subsim meet I was able to spend a couple of days in SF and managed to spend a morning on the USS Pampanito and Jeremiah O'Brien at Fishermens Wharf.

I had a great time wandering around both ships and managed to take a couple of photo's while I was there: http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/a...0Museum%20SFO/

I always like to spend time on the Pampanito. I always wear my dolphin cap and they let you in for free if you were a sub sailor. But I always pay, because i want it to stay where she's at. You should have checked out Alcatraz when you were here. It is a good tour!

Just like the Torsk, the bow is covered in bird crap. Looks like seagulls are the culprit on Pampanito. The Torsk gets pigeon crap. Darn sewer eagles. Great pics and thanks for sharing.

Woohoo!

You got to walk on an actual Liberty ship. That is too cool!

What was really cool was that there were a number of volunteers working on the Liberty ship when I visitied and I managed to chat with a few of them, one of whom was actually on board one at the end of the war!

It was a fascinating mornings entertainment.
