Small Coastal Freighter/Q-Ship Question...

I just finished the first patrol of a new career & I have a question. The first ship that I sank was a small coastal freighter. When I finished the patrol & went to check my results in SH3 Cmdr I noticed that this ship was unnamed yet all the other vessels were named (ie. M/V Atherton). I have the Q-ship mod installed & it's currently active and I followed the directions in the Q-ship mod readme. Is there something that I've missed? I'm using SH3 Cmdr with the last update and the GWX config files too.

Thank you...

I doubt it was a Q Ship then because there are 14 in game (8 UK and 5 US).

They are separately scripted so should be confirmed.

There are other small freighters in-game though.

What I can't figure out is why the small coastal freighter isn't named.:hmm: I've added the GWX 2.1 for SH3 Cmdr config files & I think that I did this correctly: I followed directions provided by Wolfehunter in another thread. Regardless of whether it was a Q-ship or not, it should still display a name in the patrol AAR generated by SH3 Cmdr. All the other ships in this AAR display their names.

Which file(s) can I check to see if there is an error (or something left out) that could be causing this?

Thanks.

Using the Q Ship as an example:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX2.1\data\Roster\British\Sea

Then open up the SCG CFG file to find the scripted names:

Now I think that we're getting somewhere!:hmm: So do I need to add the Q-ship names to the SH3 Cmdr ship names file if they are not already present? And if they aren't, what format (ie. punctuation, etc.) should I use? Also, as I'm in mid-patrol, should I wait until I've returned to port before I make any changes? Please forgive me if these seem like questions but I want to get this little issue sorted out.

Thanks again.

OK copy this

[LOV]
0001=Q Ship HMS Chatsgrove
0002=Q Ship HMS Maunder
0003=Q Ship HMS Prunella
0004=Q Ship HMS Lambridge
0005=Q Ship HMS Edgehill
0006=Q Ship HMS Brutus
0007=Q Ship HMS Cyprus
0008=Q Ship HMS Looe
0009=Q Ship HMS Antoine
0010=Q Ship USS Atik
0011=Q Ship USS Captor
0012=Q Ship USS Asterion
0013=Q Ship USS Big Horn
0014=Q Ship USS Irene Forsyte

To the bottom of the ship names cfg in SH3commander\Cfg
Make sure no trailing spaces as can happen when copying off net
No need to be in port AFAIK
Updating your career after next dock should add the missing names for last patrol too

Alright. Hopefully this will solve the ship name issue. Thanks a lot to both of you for your help.
