Default emergency help

I loaded sh4 on my new laptop vista 64bit , and I am unable to unzip files with winzip and winrar. They go to unzip, but all of the files error out. Why is this doing this? Is it a vista thing, or something else?

If you try to extract here command with winzip / winrar on Vista, the system doesnt allow the software to do as the command says. To override this, you should just drag and drop the files from the .rar file and then it'll only ask for administrator's acknowledgement on that issue.

Sure it is odd and im yet to find a cure for it..

But that ought to help.

I run Vista and find that I can't unzip to any location except my desk top. I then just cut and paster the files to where they need to go.

isnt vista great! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

in any other form of buisness it would require mandatory fixes to work properly.

here is a way that may get you going and later you and vista can have a heart to heart talk, redownload the mods then select "open" instead of "save" this may let it open within itself (at least it works that way with xp) then click on the file in the window and drag to desktop. i often do this to get the mod file out without actually saving the zip folder.

you can also give this a try: http://www.7-zip.org/

Why all this complaining about Windows Vista, the greatest operating system that has ever graced my bookshelf? It works flawlessly up there! XP on the computer, Vista on the shelf: what's not to like?

If you rub the plastic case with a piece of fabric, it will build up static electricity and attract all the dust in the room. One of the unadvertised 'features' built in.
And the case is made so you can stand on it to reach your copy of Vista on the shelf you can't quite reach. Of course you have to buy the 'ladder driver' to reach it so you can get it down to stand on it so you can get it down.
