Default Submarine depth capabilities problem

Hi,

Have been doing some research into a problem I have been having with the Salmon class submarine but haven't had any luck.

Looking at the red maximum depth indicator and also the salmon class .cfg file it seems it should be able to withstand at least 120m.

The problem is everytime I get to around 93m I start to get hull damage. If I go straight to 100m the sub breaks up almost straight away.

Am running the U-boat add on pack and RFB for 1.5 as pretty much my only mod.

Not quite sure what to make of it as the hull damage meter is starting at 000 so the sub shouldn't already be damaged.

Any help is appreciated.

Ummm not sure but I believe the .cfg file is in meters and the depth gauge is in feet. :hmm:

This will be addressed in the next RFB release.

The depth gauge should be in either feet or meters depending on the gameplay setting. I set to authetic so its feet for a fleet boat and metric for a u-boat.

I'm not sure about the config file.

So could I assume that the maximum depth for the sub is actually 120 feet and not meters.

And in that case once I get to the depth at which the sub is breaking up at around 100m it's actually 328 feet and way over a recommended depth?

Test Depth for a Salmon Class is 250 feet.

250ft test depth is 2/3 of the max safe depth

but to put it into perspective a balao made it to 1,000 ft without chrushing.
