I suggest a mod called SHIII Arctic Mod: it need to make a new icebreaker unit type russian "Krassin" or "Litke" (ex canadian "Earl Grey") and create the ice pack. This is the real problem. How do it? Maybe with a minefield modification or floating debris modification, replacing mine and debris with ice pack. Maybe.
I turn this idea to all SHIII great modders: Iambecomelife, Rubini, DivingDuck, Denis469 and others. I imagine already new mission in the North Sea: Burning Ices, White Death, Iced Steel, War over Arctic... Silent Hunter for ever! |

I'm writing hypothetical here, I believe it wouldn't be too difficult to mod floating ice chunks. In the end I think your theory can work. But its too much work to do implementing both ends of the world with ice sheets. Some would have small way points and move. others would be stationary. Also there are limits to how close you can add objects to each other.
Its possible.:hmm: Goodluck dude. ![]() |

I am not sure how a campaign would work out, regardless of whether SH3 or SH4 is used. The games are not suited to simulating an icebreakers' tasks, so it would be quite hard to make it worth playing for most users. |
