If I refuse it now will I get another chance later, or is it accept now or forever drive a pigboat?

If you perform well then you will get more chances to upgrade to better boats.

Hey...dont knock my s-boat.

I think they have a certain beauty behind them...love that verticle prow!

Also they dive at the drop of a hat (just not too deep) and the standard 4" gun packs a whallop.

Hey thats right! Anybody can tool around in a Ferrari but it takes a real driver to survive long in a '72 Pinto.

Well I might just stop crying then. Might!

Seriously though, my S-class really grew on me. Wonderful little boat!

I have recently started a new career with the S Class. I have never really used the S Class before. I'm still hunting for the Japs, though.

Some of us like the challenge of dealing with primitive equipment. I love the German Type II as well. Besides, real captains didn't always get the choice. If I wanted the biggest, baddest and best I'd play a modern nuke sub game. I play because I like the boats...all of them.

That and the mk10s are much more reliable. I hate duds! But love realism. S boat is a nice choice. Plus I love bringing down BB/CV with my sugar boat...

(kind of like killing a tiger/panther with a piat - another personal favourite from another great ww2 game: close combat 5... 10 years on (rel 1999) and that game still demands more than it's fair share of my time - it's unique and awesome - www.closecombatseries.net - tangent complete ).
