Default Modders Appreciation

I have been with this community for a while now, previously as "the bad wolf" until the PC crash, and now as "badwolf".

When seeing a mod you like, and installing it, you only see the tip of the iceburg. But if you look into the structure of a lot of mods, just as the iceburg, there's a lot hidden underneath. Having looked into quite a few mods has given me a deep appreciation of what the modders have done. The huge amount of unseen work, to produce something of beauty and imagination.

It's very sad when they leave, or driven to frustration, due to forum pressure, which is the reason for this note. I'll never complain about any mod, even if it doesn't meet my strife for a realistic simulation. If need be, I'll adapt it to satisfy my own imagination of submarine life, which might not be correct.

I've always been an active member, and am willing to give assistance to others whenever possible. This I hope does two things, helps the person in question, and relieves the modder of some unwanted extra work.

I've had two disasters recently that has set me back, the loss of my beloved PC with data and ill health. But, I have returned to the GUI mod, the list for it seems to increase every week, so it has now been split up into manageable bits. Working on the periscope realism at present, both 6x magnification, realistic optics area, different quality between scopes, new stadimeter with 90 degree swing for ship length. (I have had to do this because my eyesight aint what it used to be). I want to put the stad in commander breakdowns if possible, which would mean using the scope marks (I can see them). This all means scale values have to be the same. OLC's GUI & joe's U-jagd has been a tremendous help in this area and I find it very difficult to improve. Just putting my own icing on the cake. Also thanks to Hitman for his knowledgeable assistance, and for making it all possible to Neal Stevens.

Even though modding to gain experience, I now spend half my time on GWX 2.1 and soon NYGM for relaxing and testing, but only 1 career in each, no time for more.

Thankyou for reading this note of appreciation,

I salute to all you modders out there for giving me a wonderful experience,

hope to join you sometime.
