Morning all, or afternoon,
Just wondering, apart from the player controlled FFG, i've found no other ships CIWS systems assist in their protection against ASM's. Is this just me? or is this a common thread? Captcav |

Do you really need a CIWS in a submarine?
Or are you referring to the AI ships?

CIWS seem to work.
Only single round canons does not work against any airborne target. You can tell them from CIWS by tracers. CIWS has them, and bullets travel along straight lines, canons don't have tracers and rounds travel on balistic trajectory (which in fact is the reason they miss - the targeting system in DW can't compute correct aim). Some boats have only canons for AAA. They aim and shoot but the round will never hit. It's same as shooting air targets with 76mm gun.
