Default Graphics problem with sea (screenshot)

Sometimes this problem is not there, like when i first load the game, but then its there most of the time after playing for a few minutes.

What the screenshots do not show is how the wake around the sub is flickering really fast all the time. its as if the sea has been speeded up.

Mods:
RSRDC 1.5
RSRDC PATCH 5
ROW PACIFIC ENVIROMENTS 3_3
ENVIROMENTAL 4.5 MOD
RSRDC EYECANDY FIX

Any ideas whats wrong?

Also, sometimes the sky seems to be moving by too fast, as if im skipping time when i'm not.

Thanks,

Keith.

It's a TC related issue with the Enviornmental mod. I notice it with anything over 128 on the TC setting.

Thanks for yor reply Hylander.
So we have to stay at 128 X tc or less to avoid this. Its going to take a long time to get around.

I would advise just to use one of the two enviro mods you have. See what happens. Also, what vid card do you have? Perhaps after a period of time it is overheating some producing this effect?

I have a Geforce 8800GT. I don't think its to do with heat though, as its ok when i load back the game. Thinking about it, it is always after TC that i have this problem.

Thanks,

Keith.

OK, i removed both enviromental mods and tried them one at a time. PE3 is fine, its E4.5 thats making this watter line problem.
Only thing is, i love the water in E4.5 and i don't think i can do without it. Hope there is a fix for it one day!

Thanks,

Keith.

Have you updates your drivers to the new set yet??

I have an install with those same mods on an ATI 1900 XTX and I've been unable to replicate the problem.

Kriller is working on PE4 and it should have water similar to what W4.5 has. Go check it out on the PE thread. Kriller has posted a few pics.

It actually asks in the mod readme for the Environment 4.4 'to NOT go over 2048 TC ' as you get exactly what you have got 'flat water', I've had the same but under 2048 tc it's fine.

I have the latest drivers. I'm going to have to remove the mod. as i can not use TC at any speed without getting the flickering water line.

Thanks,

Keith.

I use the 4.6 mod. I don't go above 1.500 X because they mention in the download tread not to go above 2000 X but usually then it shows up. Normally a load should help but not a saved game with flickering water i think !

I know what you mean. It really messes up the water then.
Try 4.6. You may have better outcome.
