Default ever wonderd?

Where the sonar is in a submarine and what it looks like ?

This is a russian victor I SSN in dry dock after she embarrasingly collided with a merchant ship in the straight of gibratler.

We seen the famous photo of her laying along side the heavy repair ship but this is her in dry dock.

if you look closely into the ripped open section of the hull you will see the sensative sonar equipment.

All pics availible on the net

Cool, I recall seeing a similar picture from a US boat (the USS San Fran after she found the bottom). Don't believe I've ever seen a picture like this of a Russian boat though.

Default

its the same sonar set and layout as the yankee delta I II and III also the later victor II and mike class later versions such as akula typhoon oscar II use a diffrent set and i do believe the borey uses a diffrent one again.

Im quite surprised at this picture to be honest it looks as if the merchant has ripped open the bow with his propellor.
