Default Help needed with deep dive

Hi, can anyone help me. Just came back to SH4 after a long time away. Installed the game. Patched it to 1.4 and installed Trigger Maru 1.7.6. I decided to start my career with a new build mission off Mare island. First I was sent out to do a shallow dive test. I was asked to dive to periscope depth (no probs), then radar depth by pressing the semicolon key. This didn't seem to work, but I just messed around surfacing and diving with the radar antenna up and eventually got the mission completed. Does the radar depth key work? Anyway, my main problem is the next part of the mission, the deep dive test. I was instructed to dive until the conning tower showed signs of stress. I decended to 500ft and got lots of signs of stress!! When I surfaced , no mission completed message. I`ve tried sending status reports and even dived to 550 ft, but no joy. Can anyone help?

If you have patch 1.4 I believe you need TMO, not TM 1.7

Actually I have got TMO, sorry my mistake. Anyway I tried diving deeper (560ft). I died. I`ve made a new boat and am going to have another try.

DON'T use time compression!

Just in case

Every time I've done that on the training missions, it's fouled things up.

No big deal, really, I always make sure the admiralty doesn't regret their decision through sheer tonnage every tour

The game mechanics in TM have evolved, and i havent updated this sea trial mission to reflect changes made in the game.

To pass the deep dive part, just dive to around 448 feet or so, and stay there for a minute or three.

"Radar depth" as a singular command was removed. It was remapped to "dive planes set to deep dive". (hotkey: Shift + D) To use radar submerged, just ascend to a depth of 40 feet, and press the R key to turn on the radar. If using Sh4 version 1.5, it turns on automatically when the radar mast is out of the water.
