I tweaked gwx 2.1 scene.dat, so, in rain conditions the visibility is like 6 km.
I you want to try download it here: http://hosted.filefront.com/Nicolas1979/ |

at the moment i have stock GWX using my own campaign random settings in the configuration files, so i have a good weather randomization compared with the normal used in sh3

Good observation. There is no heavy fog never. That is what i tweaked.
In SH 3, or no rain, or rains with 500m visibility there is no middle status. Searching the net i found that in normal rain visibility varies from 3 to 15 or more km. And SH3 dont know why, links fog with rain, in real can rain without fog. |

When I readed the title An alternative solution for the rain, I thought it would be snow...
![]() The problem is that the game don't render raindrop particles to far from the uboat, it would be too heavy on the CPU. So if you have 6km visibility with rain, you will see that the raindrops are only above your uboat, which is pretty weird. Makes you feel special and unique!
