Default Anyone Solved the Storm Audio Loop?

I guess about the only problem I have left in SH4 is when the storm sounds bleeds over into all the stations. What happens is--when there is a lot of surface wind and if I go to the bridge or external view, sometimes that wind sound then appears in all stations--map, periscope, interior, etc. Now, this doesnt always happen, but it happens frequently.

The only way I have been able to stop it is to exit to the Main Menu and then re-enter the game. After doing that the wind sound once again only appears in the
Bridge view or external view. It may or may not start it's loop again.

Has anyone figured out a way to stop the wind sound w/o exiting the game?

Oh yeah, the wind sound, once it starts, continues even if the surface winds eventually drop to zero.

I am using TMO and RSRD but if memory serves this was a problem in the stock game, not a mod feature.

I've had it happen, on rare occasion.

What sort of sound card or chip are you using? I know the manual doesn't mention EAX capable, but if you are using a Realtek chip they had some problems with occulsion and such. However, I just read in Maximum PC they released an update and some of those problems have been fixed.

Of course, it could be an in game issue.

An old Sounblaster Live 5.1.

Looks like another case of "everyone has their own weird glitch."
