Greetings all,
I can run stock SH3 1.4b with the d3d9.dll fix fine in 1680x1050 (and it looks great). After installing GWX 2.1 SH3 reverts back to lower resolution. I've checked the .cfg file to verify that the file remains set to 1680x1050. During my research into solving this issue I ran across several posts concerned with getting higher resolutions and it's unclear if they're geting it done with GWX 2.1 or not (one post indicated that increased screen resolutions don't work under GWX 2.1). Is this true? Has anyone been able get GWX 2.1 to run at 1680x1050? If so any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated... that would be a tough call between good screen resolution and GWX. Thanks, Cl |

Hi!
GWX does not preclude higher screen resolution, but if you followed all the instructions then the files needed for higher resolutions (such as d3d9.dll) were probably deleted. Your best bet is probably to follow the original steps you took to enable higher screen resolution now that you have installed GWX V2.1. Pablo

Thanks for the reply Pablo... It looks like the culprit may have been a corrupt file(s). Perhaps after fooling with the cfg files several times something got messed up. Yet another problem falls to the old uninstall and reinstall... the nuclear option wins again. It works fine now.
Thanks, Cl |
