Default Question About American Career

Could someone explane to me how the career works, i mean like i started my career in the beginning of the war in the year -41 and now i'm going in December 1944, so are those other war years included in there allso if i start from year -41, or is there some different missions in other years if i choce fxpl. year 1942 in the main menu? Allso how many objectives are there in those four years alltogether in American careers and what is the date when the game ends? The never ending war?

Default Not sure what you're asking.

If you start in 1944 you will have a career that will last until Aug 1945. If you start in 1941 your career will last until Aug 1945. The Pacific War ended in Aug 1945 that doesn't change. The number of objectives depends on how long you stay out on each patrol. It's not based on the number of objectives. Are you using the stock game or modded?

Yes i orderd orginal SHIV game from the logal net shop, and i have pach 1.5 in the computer allso.

OK, so it means that i still need to continue untill Aug 1945, thanks. I allready thought that if some patrols that has taken over two weeks has suffled the "time system" in the game.

Actually how long those patrols took usually on that time, i mean the longest ones, two weeks or a month or less than that ?

The longest? 60-80 days. The average length probably fell in between 30-60 days.

Go here

http://www.fleetsubmarine.com/sublist.html

and you can click on boats and see how long their patrols lasted.

Patch 1.5 is for the U-Boat add on. Stock Sh IV can be patched to 1.4.

Thanks, i will. Very interesting to me.

Now i have 26 patrols behinde and there is a new torpedos MK16, new to me, what was the idea with them, i mean hydrogin how it works? And are they useful in the game, i haven't like those MK18 electric ones, difficult to handle, is my opinion. MK 14 is still my favorite. Enxperienses about MK16, good or bad ones in use?

The Mark 16 is a Hydrogen Peroxide Torpedo, It has incredibly long range at the same speed of the Mark 14 on a fast setting, I'm also pretty sure it leaves no trail, not sure wheter it's more reliable then the Mark 14 though

Yes MK16 works fine, i just had a chance to test it in a game. 2400 meters, fast as Mk14 and Bang ! Destroyers had no any idea what the f... was it ! A cruise missile or what !

I saw also a trail and maby that's why an other destroyer in a long range avoided the torp just before it hit, but it's allso posible that they heard it's coming.
